Filming of Restoration at Mapperton Gardens

Hugh Grant and Robert Downey Jnr star in the 1995 production of Restoration set in the Fountain Court at Mapperton in Dorset. The garden created by Mrs Ethel Labouchere which uses paving, steps and topiary softened with informal planting in the Arts and Crafts style in the early part of the twentieth century stands in for the formal garden style of the seventeenth century.
