Skeleton of an almost 20 meter long fin whale, found stranded on a beach of the gulf of Naples in 1928. it can be noticed the huge mouth, without the lost baleen plates, the front limbs similar to hands, two small remnant bones of the pelvis and the vertebral column, the end of which enters in a reconstruction of the great horizontal tail. The fin whale inhabits Italian waters especially in the summer months, mainly in the Ligurian Sea and around Corsica and northern Sardinia.
