Lizzie Lovejoy is a Darlo born writer and illustrator who loves stories. They have spent their whole life listening to peoples words, and now Lizzie translates local narratives into poems, pictures and performances. Working across the length of the region, from North Shields to Scarborough, Lizzie's home is their inspiration because the North is a tale worth telling and contains so many stories worth hearing.
Lizzie was an artists in residence at ARC, during her time there she created a series of work and reflected on the connections between family members. This fingerprint illustration is part of a series which is made up of words for each family member.
