Fire Screen

This fire screen, originally used to shield people's faces from direct heat, is made from iron and brass, and decorated with needlepoint and fabric. The embroidered German Shepherd is not by Colnik and may not be original to the frame. The base is made of cast iron and adorned with brass ornamentation.
