Firebear

This is a commission I received during the lockdown. It is a sleeve for a CD representing innovative cello music which I played over and again during the painting. The woman whose band it is and who commissioned it was delighted. It is the first work I have done since my stroke in Feb 2020.

'Firebear' was produced during the 2020 period of quarantine, when many countries around the world went into lockdown to tackle the spread of Covid-19. It’s a personal response to crisis, uncertainty, and altered states of being.
