First Day Back (Part of the ‘New Normal Sketchbook’ curated by the White Lines Collective)

Akbar collaborated in the New Normal Sketchbook project by the White Lines Collective. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, the White Lines Collective shifted its efforts to visually documenting narratives and experiences of the pandemic from the perspectives of individuals aged 18-26. Through frameworks of co-creation, collaboration and participatory design, the New Normal Sketchbook project creates avenues for young individuals to come together in one space, converse about their experiences, and create visual expressions for collective coping.
