The stamp shows the B-26 class locomotive. This locomotive was built by Sharp Stewart and Co., Atlas Works, Manchester in 1870. It first worked on Lucknow-Kanpur section of the Oudh and Rohilkhand Railway. The locomotive brought the first train to Dehradun in 1900 and survives today at NRM. This First Day Cover was released on 6th May 2000.
