Lenape Center Co-Director Curtis Zunigha stands in the center of a field of Lenape corn, grown from seeds that were stored in a seed bank by Lenape elder, Nora Thompson Dean, in the 1980's. This was the first growth and return of Lenape seeds to the original homeland since the Lenape were forcefully removed from the land in the 18th century. The corn was grown at Hudson Valley Farm Hub.
