A fishing boat was used to transport the fish caught at sea back to land. It was often used in the past when small-scale wooden fishing boats were used by individual fishermen. The fish was kept alive in water and covered with a net onboard the streamlined small boat and carried back to land. At the bottom of the boat were holes, which let sea water come in and out, and a rope was tied to the front of the boat for pulling the boat by hand.
