Selected from 31 club members for their outstanding work and interest in the engineering club activities, the boys were shown devices ranging from tiny measuring instruments to giant atom smashers. Prior to the laboratory tour, the embryo engineers were feted at a luncheon at the Mohawk Golg Club. Arrangement for the luncheon and laboratory trip were made by George A Rietz, manager of the General Electric Company's educational services. The boys were greeted by Earnest E. Johnson, laboratory general manager, who is explaining the intricacies of a mass spectrometer tube. The tube, made in the various gases. Left to right with Mr. Johnson are Rietz; Charles Freed, Via Del Mar Road; William Kuhlkin, 2014 Albany Street.; Leight Jones, 404 Consaul Road, and Gerald Gilbert, 1414 Union Street.
