The Five-Story Pagoda of Mt. Haguro was built about 1000 years ago and is now the oldest building in Tohoku Japan. It has been designated as one of Japan's National Treasure and is said to enshrine the God of Agriculture. In the photo, you can see Jiji-sugi, which literally translate to "Grandpa Cedar" which is also said to be more than 1000 years old. This is the Five-Story Pagoda of Mt. Haguro in summer.
