Flagstaff Muffler Man

The Northern Arizona University is home to two 20-foot-tall muffler men nicknamed Louie. One stands outside the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome next to the box office and is considered the very first Muffler Man ever produced. The second one, which used to be inside the stadium just behind the end zone, is now in storage for repairs. Known as the Lumberjack Muffler Men, sporting a double sided axe, the giants were donated to the university in the 1970s after the restaurant they stood guard at, the Lumberjack Cafe, changed hands and was renamed Granny's Closet.
