Flamingo of Galapagos on Isabela Island

In this image, Heinz Plenge immortalized three flamingos during their rest on the island of Isabela at the Galapagos protected archipelago in Ecuador. It is not easy to take pictures of flamingos as they are very sensitive and shy birds and generally quickly fly away when approached. The use of the backlight effect outlines the complete bodies of the birds and their pink reflections on the dark water.
