Flemish tapestries in Pastrana

“Having taken the tapestries out of Pastrana to bring them to the capital has been, besides, a mistake; it is much nicer to come across things as if by chance than to go looking for them deliberately without any risk of fraud”. Journey to the Alcarria, Camilo Jose Cela. Reading this text, we understand that when Cela visited Pastrana in 1946 the gothic tapestries were not in the collegiate chuch. Once restored, the collaboration of several institutions enabled the two sets of tapestries to be shown since the 10th of October 2014 in the parish museum.
