Flintlock Blunderbuss

This weapon took a heavy charge of powder (about four drams) and a half pint of nails, glass or coarse shot. During the Revolutionary War, Blunderbusses were used on British, French, and American warships for repelling borders. They were made solely for defense at close quarters.
