Cameron, who received a camera from her daughter on her 48th birthday and was drawn into its appeal, would become a photographer decorating the history of photography itself in a matter of just over a decade. While attempting to use photography in a style with a painting aesthetic similar to the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, she also attempted tenacious expressions in which she used facial close-ups to penetrate to the depths of her subjects' souls.
