These flowers are a symbol of surrender to the dung of past pain. Rituals of remembering like the one this fictitious character engaged in during the "Honoring" metanarrative can be a way to process the past to fertilize a preferred flower of a future black Tulsans may have the opportunity to hold. The massacre can not stop the fireproof legacy of Black Wallstreet that is rising from the ashes.

Ancestral honoring involves smelling the roses you give. Enjoying the moments involved in celebrating the lives of those who have moved on. It is a pleasure to do so.
