Small flute with 7 holes made by the male sex only and played only by men and boys. Made where it was bought from a tree called "Mwanzi" but others are also used. The holes are made by heating a nail red hot and burning through the wood. The tree chosen have a soft centre of pith which can be pushed out with a stick. This flute is played at dances and also while out herding the cows for the herders amusement. The end is plugged up with tree gum.
