The fans' central figure is a color print on silk atlas, depicting "Cornelia, the mother of the Gracchi". The eponymic painting by Angelika Kauffmann from 1785, which is located
in the Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, served as a model. In
addition, the image is flanked by an antique vase with plastic
decoration, vestons and ancient goric figures in Wedgwood-Style. On the back are butterfly-like insects with flowering branches and a bird.
