Folding Fan with Ribbon Lace

The rack of this filigree fan is made of a translucent brown synthetic material that imitates costly tortoiseshell. The rods are inlaid with silver studs. Black silk tulle forms the almost indiscernible ground for the white linen lace flower design inspired by the curved lines of Art Nouveau. The linen lace and tulle bottom are studded with silver sequins that would have sparkled with the holder’s every movement. The ends of the rods are connected by a metal mandrel.
