Fondazione AEM - Lakes of Cancano and San Giacomo

Paolo Punzo finds both the mountainous scenery and the hydroelectric landscape of Valtellina to be significant and frequently portrays them in his work. In addition to the AEM dam of San Giacomo (1950), the artwork depicts on the bottom right the older AEM dam of Cancano I (1928), a year before its immersion in the new basin decreed by the more modern AEM dam of Cancano II (1956).
