Fondazione Atena Onlus, established and chaired by Giulio Maira, full professor of neurosurgery, includes among its goals the promotion of research in neuroscience, the improvement of the treatment of certain neurological disorders, the facilitation of awareness and prevention concerning brain disorders. Additionally, it is committed to launching new research projects, building laboratories, funding young researchers, and providing scholarships. Thematic meeting, hosted by Italian Pavilion, investigated the relationship between food and brain contributing to spread the importance of a culture of prevention.
