Forest Fire

Red blinking spots indicate forest fire incidents. By satellite detection of thermal radiation from fire, forest fires on the globe can be monitored. Many of the incidents are caused by human activities such as “slash and burn”, and the frequent burning over natural recovery results in the severe decrease of forests.
