Former Otterington Railway Station, Station Road, South Otterington, North Yorkshire

A railway station at Otterington, on the line between York and Darlington, was open by 1843. In 1932-3 the station buildings, with the exception of the station master's house, were demolished and replaced. The new buildings were designed by Robert Alexander Darling in a style that encompassed a 1930s streamlined aesthetic with neo-Georgian detailing. The station closed to passengers in 1958 and to goods in 1964, and the site later acquired as a domestic private property.
