This the former site of the St. Andrews Mutual Improvement Society property purchased from Mary Richardson Moses Bowen Taft December 17, 1888. In 2020 the land became the property of the The Palmetto Land Trust for affordable housing. The house was originally located at 912 Sycamore Avenue and relocated to this site. Due to termite infestation and a structural problem with the roof, the structure could not be saved. A new home is now being built on the site.
