Forming paper with a Su screen, Echigo Kadoide paper

In a vat filled with water, the beaten fibers and a viscous agent called tororo-aoi are stirred to thoroughly mix them and then the fibers scooped up to form sheets using a su, or bamboo screen lashed with silk threads, set in a deckle and mould.
