The elephant Elephas antiquus was very abundant during the Pleistocene in Europe. This specimen was found in 1958 in an old railway station in Villaverde Bajo (Madrid). The current mounting was performed with the fossil remains belonging to at least two different individuals. Its isf 4.5 meters tall and the defences are about 2.5 meters long.
