The fossilised plant dates back to the Carboniferous era, when more than 300 million years ago under tropical conditions, solar energy was bound in plants in the form of photosynthesis and subsequently stored as fossil energy in the course of the Earth’s history. In this respect, this plant fossil represents the origin and foundation of our modern industrial world.
