Firenze, Italy

Florentia was born under the triumvirate of Octavian, Lepidus and Mark Antony as a Roman colony. The banner with the white lily on red background was bestowed upon the Florentines by Marc Antony, whilst in the background work to construct the new colony is fervently under way, the borders of which are traced by the plow: visible are the temple of Mars, the aqueduct and the amphitheatre.
