Muqarnas is a form of ornamented, faceted vaulting in Islamic architecture. It is formed by making a geometric subdivision of an area to produce a large number of miniature cellular structures. It is sometimes also called a "honeycomb" vault. This wooden pavilion includes a section of muqarnas work in its dome.
