Wall lights such as these were usually fixed on either side of a mirror so that the reflection multiplied the flames of the candles. This set of wall lights possesses elements of the newly fashionable Neoclassical style. The urn, geometric shapes, and leaf patterns on these wall lights would have fit perfectly in a large room decorated with paneling and furniture in this new style.
