Fracciones (Divisions)

This collage-like work features an interesting combination of artistic trends and techniques. The division into rectangles of different sizes gives it a Neoplastic feel. Meanwhile, the inside of each recreates a completely different environment: from pure geometric abstraction, via press cuttings and photographs aged by the artist using a copper patina, to Neo-Expressionism. Patricio Reig delves into the past, using painting and photography to extract from oblivion what time has taken away.
