Aspect taken on board the frigate Austria on its voyage to Rio de Janeiro on April 9, 1817, showing Baron von Hügel and Counts Schönfeld and Pálffy; on his back, wearing a naval uniform, is Cadet Meidorf. Until recently, the characters sitting at the back of the improvised tent were identified as Spix and Martius, which is not true (Bandeira, 2022).
