Fragment

Fragment is a work by Andreas Senoner (Bolzano, Italia, 1982). Wood is the soul of his works. With this "living material", as he describes it, and in combination with other organic elements such as feathers, lichen or fabrics, the Italian artist creates figurative sculptures that explore metamorphosis, memory and the self. For Senoner, wood serves as a collector of memories, a visual repository where the passage of time is expressed in knots and grains. His sculpted figures are often shown in transitional states, hybrids between plant and human life.
