Fragment of "The Burial of Christ".

Fragment from the painting The Burial of Christ, which was presented at the National Exhibition of 1887 and was awarded a second-place medal certificate. Sorolla then tried to restore the painting, only to abandon it later in the cellars of the Sorolla Museum. Extracted and inspected on 11 June 1979, only four fragments could be recovered, due to the appalling state of preservation.
