The sky on the right side of the niche is calm, blue. The characters on this side of the painting are holding hands. In the middle, Psyche, the allegory of the human soul, tries to break out of the embrace of sensuality and rise to heaven. She is helped in this by the Music standing above and the triumphant Singing, whose temples are crowned with a laurel wreath. In the background there is a statue of the goddess Terpsichore, the patroness of the dance, and a procession of joyful youth dances around it.
