Frame used by Christiano Jr. at the International Exhibition of Porto in 1865 to present “Photographias de customs brasileiros”. It featured 12 photographs of Rio de Janeiro's slaves who earn in work scenes recreated in the photographer's studio. These images were, after being exposed, offered to D. Fernando, king of Portugal by the photographer and we can read the dedication on the frames: “a. s. m. El Rei D. Fernando, Christiano Junior, 45, Quitanda Street, 2nd floor ”.
