The artist and illustrator of the certificate is not known, but the picture at the foot of the certificate depicts the Port Pirie waterfront, looking north. The two top photographs, which may have been added later, show the A.W.A. (later W.W.F. Hall) in Florence St, Pt Pirie, and the foundation stone. The certificate was presented to John Christopher Fitzgerald on his retirement as President of the Amalgamated Workers Society of Port Pirie in 1911. Shortly after this certificate was presented, the union merged with the Australian Workers Union.
