Francesco I of Austria

Francis II (I as Emperor of Austria, 1768 - 1835) succeeded his father in 1792; He was forced by Napoleon to the Campoformio Peace (1797); Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire of Germany he had to give up the imperial title in 1806, but at the Congress of Vienna he recovered all the territories taken from him by Napoleon; he participated in the Holy Alliance and led the reaction in Europe, arousing many revolts among the different nationalities.
