Fred Waring was a good friend of the Eisenhowers, and his choral group, Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians, one of their very favorites. The Eisenhowers kept several of the Pennsylvanians's albums stored in the cupboard of the Norelco hi-fi in their living room. To celebrate the President's first birthday in office, Waring organized a huge birthday gala in Hershey, PA attended by over 10,000 guests. The Eisenhowers asked his group to sing at White House state dinners during visits by Queen Elizabeth and Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev.

A 78 rpm phonograph record of a song written by Fred Waring for Mamie Eisenhower. The hand-painted design on the cover includes a likeness of Mamie. Produced by Decca Records, New York, NY.
