Tri-Boro Fruit Co. was named after the bridge that links Manhattan to the Bronx and Queens. New emigrant Domenico Fazio had a macaroni factory in New York City that burned down in the early 1930's. To survive, he started buying grapes from rail cars to sell on the streets. To secure his supply, he sent his son Chris to Fresno where he founded the company that is still run by the Fazio family today.
