Frida Kahlo as a student

On September 17, 1925, Frida Kahlo suffered serious injuries to her spine, hip, and right leg as a result of a traffic accident, leading to a long period of convalescence. This photograph was taken by her father one year after her terrible accident. Three years later, she married Diego Rivera.
