The 19th National Exhibition of Art, 1969
2nd Prize, Silver Medal Award in Painting
The National Exhibition of Art is the oldest national competition stage of Thailand that has been organized constantly until now. It aims to encourage Thai artists to produce painting, sculpture, prints and multimedia works which present their artistic skills. Gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal award-winning works will become the property of Silpakorn University, who reserves the right to promote works in all channels.
The intricate, graceful traditional Thai puppet show ‘Lilit Lateng Phai’—one of the series of The Romance of the Three Kingdoms—along with the conservation of the puppets, their decorative attires, and head pieces all represented the expertise of Chakraphand Posayakrit, a National Artist in Visual Arts (Fine Art) in 2000. Moreover, he has been recognized as one of the 52 master craftsmen at the 200th anniversary of Rattanakosin Kingdom. Earlier in his career, he also showcased a unique talent in the art of portraits granting him awards while making him inspiration for modern artists.
