The Frigate "D. Fernando ll e Glória" was the last ship of the India Run and the last fully-sailed ship of line to be built for the Portuguese Navy.
Built in the royal shipyards of Damão, it sailed for about 100,000 miles, beginning its service in 1845, sailing from God to Lisbon. Its name
pays tribute to King Consort Ferdinand II and Queen Mary Il of Portugal, also named Glória. It has been a museum ship of the Portuguese
Navy since 1998.
