Renato Righetti (1905-1982), sculptor, painter and engraver from Verona, known as Renato Di Bosso, studied at the Napoleone Nani School of Decorative Art in Verona and graduated from the Academy of the same city. In 1931 he signed the "Open Letter to F.T. Marinetti" and in the same year he formed the Futurist Group of Verona. From the mid 30s the plane became for the artist the protagonist of a figurative epic that led him to an "aesthetics of war" and to "bombing painting". Participate in first person to reconnaissance flights translating them then pictorially. His aeropaintings on aeroplastic boards take on shaped, cloud-like shapes, bordered by shiny metal tubes. Works such as "From the Helicopter" fully realize the fusion of the ideal futurist art-life.
