Using multiple techniques and languages, including drawing, sculpture, crafts, music, installation and performance, Adrián Villar Rojas investigates the passage of time, and the ways in which cultural artefacts undergo alterations contaminating themselves with the organic nature of the natural world. Strongly material, and sometimes perceivable even with the sense of smell, his works impose themselves in the real space of the observer as presences in which elements belonging to everyday life take alienating traits, becoming uncomfortable anticipations of the obsolescence that hangs over everything and being alive.
