About the series: Wish You Live Long is a personal journey into a landscape that crisscrosses issues of identity and family, political borders and cultural landscape, current day crisis and history of Kashmir.
About the Photographer: Sumit Dayal, b.1981, India, graduated from the Documentary and Photojournalism program at the International Center of Photography in New York in 2006. Since then he has worked as a freelance photographer covering Afghanistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh and Bhutan, focusing on the changing landscape and disappearing cultures of South Asia. He is currently working on his first book about his motherland – Kashmir.
