The Purana Pul road leading towards the Mahbub Chauk, the historic city square, where Masjid Mahbub Chauk and Clock Tower adjoined to Mahbub Chauk portrayed on the map. The clock tower was constructed by Asman Jah Paigah in 1892 who served as the minister of Nizam. Watches and Clocks were very rare those time, hence Asman Jah built this clock tower for the common citizens so that they could plan their daily activity well. And, the mosque was originally built by one Khaja Abdullah in 1817, but later the sixth Nizam Mir Mahbub Ali Khan reconstructed it in 1904. To the north of Purana Pul road lies the picturesque mansion of Nawab Zulfikar-ud-Daul Bahadur is visible. A very thickly inhabited area within narrow street lanes is visible beyond the Purana Pul road, where the mansions of nobles, as well as other prominent, people are marked separately. Rath Khana of Asman Jah Br is also identifiable, which was a stable for royal carriages. Southward of Mahbub Chauk, the Lal Bagh road laying and to the left side of it situates Lal Bagh flower garden and mansion of Nawab Bashir-ud-Daula, is visible. The Nawab Bashir-ud-Daula Bahadur was a nobleman belonged to the Paigah family, had served as the prime minister of Nizam of Hyderabad. His original name was Asman Jah Bahadur. He was referred in many titles, and Bashir-ud-Daula was among one, and many structures constructed by him were also named after Bashir-ud-Daula.
