Leiden, Netherlands

Adult specimens of this species have numerous black dots on the body. Its specific name refers to the hundred-eyed giant from Greek mythology. This cylinder is sealed with a separate cover glass on which a piece of pig's bladder is streched. As this bladder is air permeable, it is painted, together with the sealing cord.
