STS091-727-059 (2-12 June 1998) --- White clouds and blue ocean waters form the backdrop for this view of Russia's Mir space station during a post-undock
fly-around by the Space Shuttle Discovery, from which this 70mm frame was taken. The markings in the photo are those of the Crew Optical Alignment Sight (COAS), an important instrument used normally for rendezvous and docking maneuvers. The STS-91/Mir-25 docking marked the final scheduled link-up between Mir and members of the NASA Space Shuttle fleet.
